This is too funny! My 4-year-old son has always called his hand sanitizer "hanitizer", and I thought it was cute but also pretty cool.

As it turns out, this portmanteau word hanitizer is not so new! It's actually out there already. Our dreaming it up just corroborated it, though. Well, we will come up with a new word soon.

Sorry, "Hanitizer," and similar derivations are generally thought to have something to do with radio talk show host Sean Hannity - as in "Oh, that fellow listens to Sean and has been completely Hannitized."
