Turnaround
Time, Level of Proofreading, and Prices
Our pricing is reasonable and is based on your requested level of
proofreading and turnaround time. When you submit your job to ProofreadNOW,
we give you an instant cost estimate (no surprises!) for your approval
before the job is under way.
Our
helpful billing system can provide complete chargeback data if you
need to bill your costs to your customers.
Compare
our low prices against the cost of reprinting your job. And
if your document gets to your prospects before it is thoroughly
and professionally proofed, compare our cost to the cost of having
your prospect point out the mistakes to you!
Also
consider that we use TWO native English editors on every document, with each editor
working the entire document, top to bottom. Top that off with our
100% satisfaction guarantee, and it becomes apparent that
ProofreadNOW is the only way to go!

Please
note the following:
-
*The minimum charge for an English job is $23.00. All figures are US dollars.
-
Our
per-page rates are based on 500 words per page (for Word and
PDF formats) or a page break (for other formats). It's easy to figure MS Word documents:
simply divide the word count by 500 and round up.
Each individual document in a job is a minimum of one page for costing purposes.
-
PowerPoint documents are priced on a one-slide-equals-one-page
basis, not by word count. If the average
word count per slide is less than 100, a 20-percent
reduction will be applied to the page count. For example, a
30-slide show with an average word count less than 100 would
be charged as 24 pages (30 x .80 = 24).
-
For
all formats, the maximum number of words counted as one page
is 500. For example, if a URL contains 1200 words, it would
be counted as three pages, even if a “page turn”
or new click had not been initiated.
-
Volume
discounts are available, starting at 2000 pages per month. Please
contact our sales group at
Sales@ProofreadNOW.com or by calling 978-887-6675 x 102.
-
We
are happy to establish a billing account for corporate customers,
or you can be billed on an American Express, VISA, or MasterCard.
To set up semimonthly billing, please contact ProofreadNOW
by telephone at 978-887-6675 x 0 during East Coast (USA) business
hours, or send e-mail to accounting@ProofreadNOW.com after you
have registered.
-
You
may specify turnaround times from one hour to two weeks.
- If you
submit a document for editing that is written in a language
other than the writer's native language, we generally request
that you submit at our STYLE level. Such documents usually
require much more work than those written by native speakers.
If you submit such a document for CLARITY-level editing,
processing may be delayed while we confirm with you the level
of editing needed. Such documents done at our CLARITY-level
service are not covered in our comprehensive guarantee.
- If you request
proofreading for content within a specialty such as medicine,
high tech, finance, or law, your work will go to editors who specialize
in the field, and a 25% surcharge will be added (visible at the
time of submission in the pop-up quote).
-
If
you wish us to compare your digital document with a hardcopy
fax, our submission process gives you instructions for accompanying
the digital document with the fax. We charge $8.00 per page
additional to do comparative readings of your digital document
and fax copy.
-
We
have to say, of course, that any of the rates listed here
may change without notice, but once your job has been submitted,
the rate will not go up for that work.
