His formal training was in business software development, and his background is in the enterprise storage software business. He's been a programmer, systems designer, salesman, and MIS manager, back in the day when it was called "MIS." He's always been a serial entrepreneur. Julie is a seasoned professional who has worked in the publishing and advertising fields for more than 20 years as a manager, proofreader, and copy editor. Her career includes stints as a Studio Manager at Fidelity Investments and as a proofreading instructor for nSight and the Boston Center for Adult Education. As a freelancer she has worked with major book publishers in Boston and New York on novels, medical textbooks, college textbooks, mass media business books, and psychology journals. Julie holds a BA in English/Communications with a Journalism concentration and a minor in Psychology from North Adams State College.
