Style Copyediting

For Writing Help and Clearer Flow

Your draft may be done, but that doesn’t always mean it’s ready for publishing. Style Copyediting turns rough, uneven, or multi-author text into clear, polished, professional copy that has impact.

Style starts with Clarity Proofreading. Then two professional human editors revise your document for flow, clarity, organization, and readability, so that the final version is polished, natural, and ready to compel your audience to act.

Style Copyediting Includes:

  • All features in our Clarity service.
  • Rewriting for smoother flow and better readability.
  • Sentence-by-sentence and paragraph-level improvements.
  • Reorganization of sections when needed.
  • Comments and suggestions where clarification is needed.
  • Editing to major style guides, including Chicago, AP, APA, Bluebook, and AMA.
  • Working to your organization’s style guide, when provided.

Style Copyediting Is a Good Fit for a Document That Is:

  • Still in draft form.
  • Clear in purpose but not yet polished.
  • In need of writing help, not just proofreading.
  • Awkward, repetitive, or uneven in places.
  • Written by multiple authors but needs to have a consistent tone and style.
  • Written by a non-native English speaker.
  • Generated with AI and needs human revision.

Why Style Copyediting Matters

A document can be technically correct and still miss the mark. It may sound repetitive, appear unclear, or fail to guide your reader smoothly from one point to the next.

This is where Style Copyediting helps. Our editors improve the structure, wording, and flow of your document so your message comes across more clearly and professionally. They also flag passages that need more input from you, helping you stay in control of the final version.

Important Note

We accept documents for Style service in Microsoft Word and Google doc formats only. This allows us to use the track changes tool, so you can easily review every edit, comment, and suggestion. If you submit a Google doc, we might convert it to Word and return your doc in Word format.

We’ll Improve Your Writing for Greater Impact

When your document needs more than a final proofread, Style Copyediting gives it the writing support it needs to make a stronger impression.
